How It All Began

Some might say that motorcycles chose me!  My father was a Master Honda Mechanic, so I grew up around motorcycles. For our family motorcycles were just a way of life.  Fast forward a couple of decades and I marry into another motorcycle family.  My father in law was an avid Gold Wing rider, while my husband spent the majoirty of his time at the track road racing.

For the past 11 years my husband and I have owned and operated a full service motorcycle repair shop with a storefront.  The majority of my days are spent working the parts and service counter and helping customers with gear.  Over the past decade I have seen the number of women riders increase which is super exciting!  What isn't exciting is the challenge that women face when trying to find motorcycle gear and apparel.

Over the years I saw a pattern emerge when I was trying to help a  female customer choose gear.  The process always resulted in every book behind my counter being pulled out because each catalog only contained a small selection of items for women.  I found this to be so frustrasting. I decided to do some research and found that I had simliar expereinces when trying to locate women's gear and apparel online.  There is a far more options than there used to be but it seemed that you had to dig through the men's sections to locate the small section that was for women.  Additionally, the market is male dominated and while I love our male counterparts, they have no idea about the struggles we face as women.

So I got to thinking.  This is the 21st Century.....why don't women have their own place to shop for motorcycle gear and apparel?  A place where they don't have to search around to find their section.  Then I thought "Why don't I open an online store for just women?".  So that's what I set out to do.  How hard could it be right?  Ummmm, I quickly found out it is pretty darn hard!

Long story short I persevered and after many months of research and hard work I was able to get the store up and running.  While Pink Line Moto is a constant work in progress I think that it is important to know that this is a store just for you.  I love feedback and ideas about how to make the store a better place for you.  Don't see what you are looking for email me and I am happy to help you find it!

I look forward to serving you ladies!
